“To create ‘a cozy, at-home feel,’ Zio & Sons brought in additional seating and tables from New York prop house, Rent Patina. ‘We chose the long barnwood tables for an intimate communal experience,’ he says. Vintage furniture and d cor like a 19th-century fireplace mantel, an antique ship wheel, and a turn-of-the-century butcher block table contributed to the Old New York vibe.

D Argenzio and his team also crafted handmade table runners and napkins from white French linen by the yard, washed in cold water and hung to dry for a worn-in look. ‘We left the edge raw and unfinished for a vintage country look, and sprayed the linens with a light, lavender perfume, filling the room with the most amazing fresh linen scent.’ Other DIYs included vintage-inspired shipping tags with used as place cards, which were tied with navy twine to Old New York-inspired handmade cookies by Sugar Built.

For the flower arrangements, Zio & Sons partnered with Petal by Pedal, a florist who sources flowers directly from New York farmers and delivers them by bicycles. ‘I like to get a bit whimsical and loose with my fall arrangements,’ D Argenzio says. ‘For fall, I prefer pairing blush hues with pops of color and greens.’ Anemones, dahlias, flowering kale, and large garden roses are his autumnal go-tos. ‘We also had ivy spilling out of the arrangements, which gave the table an added organic texture.’
