An empty room plus a need for more closet space can result in practically endless possibilities. Our decision to partner with Bed Bath & Beyond was quite easy, due to their wide selection of furniture, storage essentials, and just about everything in between. We found every item we needed for our modern dressing room, other than a few vintage oil paintings that is.

    1. Functional Storage
The three sectional closet system by Manhattan Comfort is extremely versatile as a “his and hers” duo. The hanging racks, double drawers and shelves easily fit everything we needed. In fact, we were able to dedicate the middle closet section to storing our hamper, which we all know can be an eye-sore.

    2. A Cozy Nook
The corner of our “closet room” wasn’t big enough for shelves or a dresser, but it did call for something small and intimate. The Safavieh Jenny Arm Chair is perfect for putting on shoes or reading a book by the window. The Valeron Estate Cotton Linen Window Curtains added a soft and elegant touch to the otherwise simple room. Try hanging the rod from the ceiling, rather than the wall, for added length and sophistication. The industrial style floor lamp is perfect for lounging with a great read over the natural jute rug.

    3. A Chic Dresser
This chest is the perfect addition to a elevated white room. With plenty of storage space, our Stanley Furniture Ocean Park Bachelors Chest also acts a  vanity unit. We love the lucite, drawer pulls and keyhole lock. A vintage mirror or unique painting helps the room feel more personal and alive.

    4. Closet Accessories
With all of our new closet space, we had the opportunity to visit the store for storage accessories. We luckily found these woven baskets in the perfect size. They even match the natural rug perfectly. We also picked up some always necessary storage bins and a few packs of beautiful Natural Wood Hangers.

All in all, using Bed Bath and Beyond for our functional and sophisticated new master closet was a complete success! Remember to incorporate the things you love, like our vintage paintings, with new and clean pieces like our three piece Closet System and cozy Safavieh Chair.

  • How to Create a Photo Booth for A-List Interior Designers

At Legends in Los Angeles, Zio & Sons conceived and assembled a luxurious outdoor area where design mavens posed for photographers. Watch the video to see how it was made.

To create his eye-catching photo wall at the Legends design celebration in Los Angeles, Anthony Dargenzio of Zio & Sons sourced fine furnishings from stores in the surrounding La Cienega Design Quarter. Here, he explains how it all came together: “Since the VIP photo wall and lounge was going to be outside — located in the back garden at the

Lee Stanton Antiques showroom — I really wanted to bring the indoors out, for a luxe-meets-casual garden setting. As a backdrop, we used a natural linen painter’s cloth. Then we pulled products from some of our favorite 1stdibs vendors in the La Cienega Design Quarter. We went to Lee Stanton Antiques for a few of the larger pieces, like the 18th century Italian columns, a French iron and marble bistro table and English wood étagère. We then paired it with the contemporary gray Milano chair from Downtown and anchored the set with a bronze, footed lamp from Remains. The antique rugs were sourced at Woven , along with decorative accessories for the shelving unit from Dragonette and Hollyhock . To complete the look, we added a pop of blue with a cashmere throw from Hollywood at Home. Overall, the look was exactly what we were going for and a perfect mix of old and new.”
